Can This Be Art? Call for Artists

Sierra Arts and Buckbean Brewery are partnering on a creative endeavor to benefit arts programs in Northern Nevada, the CAN This Be Art? mobile creation competition. 

A call is going out for any interested participants to create a mobile solely out of Buckbean beer cans, aside from the hanging assembly.

 To get started, 24 cans are available from the Buckbean Brewery. Entries with name and phone number are due by Monday, Oct. 5, at 5pm, and may be dropped off at the brewery. Each entrant will receive one ticket to Buckbean’s CANFEST - Reno International Canned Beer Festival on Oct. 23. Mobiles will be hung, then judged by the public at a Buckbean Brewery reception on Friday, Oct. 9, beginning at 6pm. Winners will be announced at CANFEST. 

This competition will benefit the Sierra Arts Foundation and its community arts programs.

Cast your vote - Projekt30's October Exhibition

We invite you to help jury Projekt30's October Exhibition. To cast your votes go to: http://www.projekt30.com/jury.html

Just look at the art submitted for consideration and pick the ones you think should be included in the final exhibition. Its fun, its free, and there is some excellent work from some very talented artists in there! (There is also the opposite, which is why we need you help.)

All art will be available for jurying until September 28th, the final results will be posted Ocotber 1st. 

For your ratings to be counted you must submit ratings for at least 20 artists. Beyond that you may submit ratings for as many or as few artists as you would like, you don't have to rate every artist in the show.

Our mission is to expose artists to "brick and mortar" galleries interested in presenting their work, private collectors, patrons, or even simply just art lovers. All of our exhibitions are "publicly juried", meaning that site visitors construct the final exhibition by rating the artworks merit.
