"Check For..." *Charm*, Album Release Today

Thursday, November 13, 2008 - Charm Works Publishing is announcing the release of "Check For Me", the debut solo album executive produced, written and sung by songstress *Charm*, Charissa Mobley (ASCAP), to be released Thursday, November 13, 2008.

Delivering an album with resonating vocals and catchy, rhythmic music, *Charm* is a rising R&B artist to watch for.

From the opening album track "Check’n For Me", which speaks to naysayers and cynics on how the power of negativity can prove beneficial to the opposition, to the final track "Give Me Life", which suggests the willingness to experience life free from restraints and limitations, "Check For Me" is an album that will inspire young and old alike.

*Charm* is a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and credits the root of her sound to gospel music.  She has been influenced by the likes of Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler and Whitney Houston.

When asked what separates her from mainstream R&B artists, *Charm* smiles and says "I try to paint a picture with music. I love the classic Motown sound and I’ve taken that and put my own spin on it."

The debut single "Check’n For Me" has received radio spins on Charlotte, NC, R&B/Hip Hop station WPEG 97.9 FM as well as on Wilmington, NC, Hip Hop/R&B station WMNX Coast 97.3 FM. 

*Charm* has performed locally and nationally and is scheduled to perform for the Eagle Bank Bowl on December 20, 2008, which will air on ESPN live @ 11am from the RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
